Meet the Pastors
Pastor Ken Ecker
Since the early 1970s, Ken has had a passion for training young Christians, and leading them into the deeper things
of God. He directed The Master's Commission in Tacoma from 1999-2004, imparting
knowledge of God to college-aged students. Ken has a zeal for learning the Word of God which led him to receive
his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2002.
God led Pastor Ken into Deaf Ministry beginning in 1976. He has interpreted many major Christian events, including
Billy Graham crusades and Promise Keepers conferences. He began interpreting Sunday church services in Tacoma since 1990, and in 1995 he established Deaf Church For All Nations. As the congregation matured and grew, in
May, 2007, the church was launched into its own independent church, with a new name: Hands of
Praise Deaf Church.
Hands of Praise Deaf Church continues to thrive in Tacoma with a congregation who are eager to grow in the Word of God.

Bonnie felt God's call to go to Bible College. She experienced her first cold weather while attending North Central University in Minnesota for one year. Later, she transferred to Pennsylvania and attended the University of Valley Forge. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Deaf Christian Ministry.
Bonnie is an Assistant Pastor at Hands of Praise Deaf Church in Tacoma, Washington. She leads the Ladies' Bible Study and loves to join the worship team. She is the drama director for two main events each year during Christmas and Easter.
